CT at the 86th Geneva Motorshow

24 March, 2016

The 86th Geneva Motorshow took place earlier this month, bringing together the best of the automotive world at the only annual European show. The show took place over ten days, with over 687,000 individuals attending, it is clear that the Geneva Motorshow is one of the biggest in the world.

Creative Technology (CT) and its teams in both the UK and Germany supplied a variety of AV solutions to the likes of Jaguar, Land Rover, Ford, Volkswagen, Nissan and Chevrolet. In total, CT supplied around 500 m² of LED, with a variety of pixel pitches – ranging from 5mm to 18mm. Furthermore, CT was also responsible for sound design during show and press events, utilising equipment from MyerSound, D&B and Shure Axient.

Alongside audio and video solutions, CT provided a full turnkey service for many of our Geneva Motorshow clients. From planning, coordination and implementation of audio, video and lighting, CT also provided media solutions which included camera and broadcast equipment plus worked on the specially developed Chevrolet’s Selfie app. This app enabled attendees to share their selfie online and with those who were at The Geneva Motorshow through a selfie-wall built using LED screens.

“It’s a magnificent show,” declared Mr. Maurice Turrettini, the President of the Geneva International Motor Show. “The stands were more attractive than ever, the new models presented were unusually numerous, and the enthusiasm of the visitors was manifest by their numbers”.

The Geneva Motorshow 2017 is set to take place from the 9-19th March, next year.
