CT Goes Classic

In support of the Audi Summer Festival, Creative Technology (CT) supplied high class Meyer Sound audio equipment and a 30 sqm triple projection to the Jubilee Concert, part of the series of “Vorsprung” Festival concerts.

Organised by Audi AG, the classical music festival is now in its 25th season. For 2015, Audi enlisted renowned conductor Kent Nagano to conceive the “Vorsprung-Festival“, which also included performances with the London Symphony Orchestra.

Taking place at the Audi Production Hall N58 in Ingolstadt, the impressive 3 x 10m triple projection was a significant part of the Jubilee concert. CT’s Pandora’s Box media servers projected interactive contents and images that accompanied performances of Bach’s famous Toccata and Fugue in D minor, George’s Antheil’s Piano Sonata No. 2 “The Airplane“ and the Ballet Mécanique and Igor Stravinsky’s “Le Sacre du Printemps“.

In order to challenge the Production Hall’s acoustic conditions, CT supplied an audio solution that created a virtual concert hall acoustic sound around the musicians. This was achieved by processing 100 microphone channels via the Meyer Sound Constellation system, using more than 40 dedicated speakers for monitoring and the latest Meyer Sound Leopard PA system to draw the audience into the production.
