Immersive LED Walkway to Cine Europe 30th Edition

The International Convention Centre of Barcelona (CCIB)  hosted once again CineEurope, the main European exhibition convention, which in 2020 could not be held in person due to the pandemic. From October 4th to the 7th, the event celebrated its 30th anniversary, with the aim of being, more than ever, a meeting point and to help fill again the movie theaters.

After a year 2020 in which CineEurope, the official convention of the International Union of Cinemas (UNIC), had to take place in a decaffeinated online edition, Barcelona has been again the witness of the conferences, screenings and stands that characterize this essential event in the field of international exhibition.

UNIC together with the organizing company, The Film Expo Group, decided to delay the 30th Edition of CineEurope until October, instead of holding the fair on the usual June dates.

This CineEurope 30th edition  has not disappoint anyone and, once again, has brought the very best in exclusive studio screenings and product presentations, cinematic technologies and innovations and educational seminars to keep businesses on top of industry trends.

LED wall tunnel Paramount Pictures

The involvement of Creative Technology Spain in CineEurope 2021 has been the construction of the immersive Paramount Pictures LED tunnel that guided visitors to the Auditorium of the International Convention Center of Barcelona (CCIB).

The LED tunnel consisted of two side LED walls of 10 x 2,5m in a pixel pitch of 2.6mm and a ceiling LED wall of 10m x 6m in a pixel pitch of 3.9mm. The installation of the truss and tubes structure that supported both the LED walls and the carpentry work was the challenging part of the set up due to space and height limitations. Pre-production work to integrate the carpentry design in the LED wall set up was crucial to build the LED tunnel in record time. Pixera by AV Stumpfl was the media server used to compose and manage all the different animated videos throughout the four-days show.

The finishings of the carpentry work – glossy black laminate and golden formica laminate- gave the tunnel the WOW effect that was successfully achieved.
