CT London Festival of Technology Proves a Huge Success!

10 May, 2018

Last month, Creative Technology (CT) in London opened the doors of their headquarters in Crawley, West Sussex to valued clients, professional partners and eager students all keen to check out CT’s latest event tech offerings.

The annual Open Days, appropriately branded ‘The Festival of Technology’ ran from Tuesday 24 – Friday 27 April across both the company’s sites in Manor Royal Business Park. There were a huge number of demonstrations on show covering each of the company’s services including audio; display projection and LED; broadcast and media; networks and communication. However, it wasn’t only the team at CT who had all hands-on deck, with numerous leading industry suppliers joining the team to showcase their latest technologies. Mediatec played a huge part in the Open Days, completely transforming the CT car park by bringing in 18 and 81 sqm mobile LED screens. CT were also excited to be joined by group company NEP UK, who took this opportunity to showcase ‘Aurora’, one of four new 4K Outside Broadcast trucks.

This was the most ambitious CT Open Day to date and delivering this within a fully-working environment didn’t come without challenges. The large-scale event required precise planning and an extensive amount of organisation; however, the outcome exceeded all expectations and created a unique opportunity for all to not only learn more about the latest technologies CT can offer but also take an exclusive look at what goes on behind the scenes.

There has been some fantastic feedback from attendees, expressing their gratitude and positive thoughts on the experience:

Ian Watterston, Senior Production Manager at Jack Morton commented, “The range of services and kit is second to none and was a brilliant day. A thoroughly good demo of wares and services.”

Andrew Blanchfield, Production Manager at Imagination says, “The CT ‘Festival of Technology’ is a must add for your 2019 diary. Some fantastic tech on show and brilliant presentations given, by a clear wealth of knowledge.”

Sarah Skates, Events – Producer at The Outlook Creative Group – “It was great to see how busy it was and view all the items you had out! We had a great time and it was super useful to see what else you guys can do and offer us.”

On the Friday, CT welcomed a group of enthusiastic students looking to gain insight into the live events industry and explore possible career opportunities at CT. The day was kicked-off with an introduction by CEO, Dave Crump which was both inspiring and informative – giving the students a real-life account of what it takes to make it in such a fast-paced business. The group then spent the morning learning more about the event tech on show; from creative LED and audio, to networks and broadcast. One student told us “You were very detailed, yet explained everything in terms that were very understandable for people with an underlying knowledge of networks and the Live Events industry at large. You were engaging and answered any questions we had excellently.”

CT would like to say a huge thank you to:

Not forgetting everyone who attended – we had a great turn out and the entire event was a huge success!
