This year Creative Technology (CT) held its Open Days at the prestigious Hospital Club in Covent Garden.

Throughout the two-day duration, CT demonstrated some of the most exciting creative technologies to spark the imagination of clients from all across their servable industries.

The technology on show under the theme of ‘Media in Motion’ included the real-time media compositing server, Pandora’s Box; the ultra-thin, fan-less AOTO 3.5mm LED display; and 4K resolution.

A particularly popular demonstration came in the form of Photon. CT’s technical crew showed how high resolution uncompressed video can be displayed on any surface using an unlimited number of projectors. And when fed with automation data and/or motion-capture techniques, the projection can adapt in real-time to the object moving and deforming, whilst also monitoring the alignment and edge blending.

CT’s in-house social media and data integration tool ‘Mercury’ also proved a hit, with the Media Solutions team outlining the potential to enrich live event production by utilising a wide range of data resources.

Tim Volker, CT’s Media Solutions Director, commented: “The feedback from attending clients and staff has been overwhelmingly positive. Once again we succeeded in demonstrating the ‘creative technology' in Creative Technology!”
