CT Congratulates Toyota for Winning the 2018 BizBash Award for “Best Fair/Festival”
14 November, 2018
In 2017 Toyota moved its headquarters and 90 percent of its employees from California and Kentucky to the rustling cowboy town of Plano, Texas. To celebrate the move and to thank the families and employees, Toyota threw a private festival in September of 2017. It was held at its newly acquired 100 -acre campus. The festival held 12,000 attendees and featured 10 bands playing across 5 stages.
The festival also had plenty of games and entertaining things to do, like; 37 interactive games, 32 vehicles on display, 2 mechanical bulls, ferris wheel, tailgate zone, beer garden, kids’ area and a Texas-themed food area. Toyota also used their test track to show new vehicle capabilities.
Creative Technology played a large role in supporting production client MC2 with the management, logistics and production of the event. Linking arms with sister companies NEP and ScreenWorks, the team was able to really enhance the attendee’s experience. One example was the streaming of video taken from various local areas of the event, which was transmitted to several large LED screens throughout the fairgrounds. Additionally, using wireless camera systems, the team was able to show the POV of the drivers on the test track.
The large LED screens were also used to broadcast the headline band, Train, throughout the campus. From just about anywhere in the event you could see what was happening on the main stage or from the race track. We are grateful that our clients took advantage of the creative capabilities we offer and are very proud of our collective efforts on this important event.
