CT Re-Fit Integrated Networks Server Room
22 October, 2018
Here at our London Headquarters, the Integrated Networks team have been hard at work refitting CT’s live event server room.
Among the specialist audio visual services provided by CT, our Integrated Networks department drives innovation at every stage with rock-solid and robust event infrastructure; specialising in the convergence of technologies over IP and Fibre to bring unparalleled speed, reliability and cost-savings to events around the globe.
The live event server room is the centre of CT hosted streaming operations and global event VPN infrastructure. Aside from the event-based IT services, this is also where internal test signals for the whole building are generated both in baseband and IP. The servers also host CT’s bespoke software development environment along with client facing system demonstrations and content archives.
Having undergone a thorough security audit, CT are now an authorised contribution point for one of CT’s client’s media network. The room has a total storage of capability of 144TB, a fully backed-up internet connection and redundant power supply system to ensure client connectivity to data and reliable streaming operations at all times.
“The refitted server room has more capability, redundancy and security than previously, and represents CT’s continued investment into the world of IP services to better support our clients. The traditional Audio Visual, Broadcast and IT worlds are past the point of just collision and are now integrating, this new facility is just the latest example of CT innovating to stay ahead of that curve.” - Sid Lobb, Head of Vision & Integrated Networks
