The Norwegian Aviation Museum

The rebuilding of the exhibition on civil aviation at the Norwegian Aviation Museum is one of the most exciting and important events for this established national cultural history and technical museum since its opening in 1994. The museum would not only refresh its expression and design, but strengthen and clarify the importance of aviation history and the objects in the exhibition by creating personal contact points for today’s visitors.

By using new exhibition techniques and borrowing elements from theaters and theme parks, the museum wanted to bring stories from the past to life and make history relevant to the lives of today’s visitors.

CT Norway won the competition for the deliveries of light, AV technology and control technology for the new exhibition “We FLY!”. The installation was done in the period October – December 2016. CT collaborated with the renowned Australian museum designers Freeman Ryan Design and the British museum builders Scena with the realization of the project.
